Deepen your relationship with yourself and the wildlife that lives around you.

$40

We’re partnering with the humans & wildlife ambassadors from the Center for Wildlife for the first in a series of seasonal forest bathing events. Through this slow and mindful practice, you’ll deepen your relationship with yourself, the wildlife that lives around you, and the land we all inhabit. We’ll start with a seasonal tisane (staghorn lemonade), and after some guided breathing and gentle movement, we'll amble along the trail which passes through a mixed forest, ephemeral streams, sphagnum moss mats and a blueberry wetland. Davinica will lead us in engaging our curiosity, awakening our senses, and enjoying the beauty of the Center for Wildlife campus and the foothills of Mount Agamenticus.

Teens and adults are welcome at any session, no meditation experience is necessary! We encourage you to attend all four sessions to observe the full spectrum of seasonal transformations.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

  • This event will be held in all weather conditions. If the event needs to be canceled due to dangerous weather or temperature, you will be notified via email from Center for Wildlife.

  • Choose footwear and clothing layers appropriate for the weather and uneven trails.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE

Cost: The cost of this event is $40. If this is a challenge for you, please email Davinica at davinica@kaneel.me.

Parking: There is a large dirt parking lot next at the Center for Wildlife. There are a couple of wheelchair accessible spots available. If you can carpool, please do so.

Trail: This walk will not be wheelchair accessible. It will be slow and meandering over a short distance, not a hike. In total, we’ll traverse about .5 miles, and throughout the practice, there will be many moments to rest. The path is a mix of wooded trails and boardwalks.

Sensory Activities: Throughout the meditation, participants will be invited to explore the space using their senses of hearing, sight, smell, and touch. Participation in any of these activities is not required and can be adapted for those with sensory impairments or difficulties.

Restrooms: There are restrooms available during this event.
